Split Pea Fritters

Green Split Peas
Ingredients:  

Split Peas Green/Yellow   1 Cup.
Ginger                    1 small piece.
Red pepper flakes         1 Tsp.
Green Serrano Chilli      1 No or to Taste.  
Salt                      To Taste.
Onion medium size minced  1 No.
Cilantro fresh chopped    1 Tbsp.
Oil                       For Deep Frying. 

Method :  

Soak fresh Green/Yellow Split Peas in water for an hour & drain.
Add in ginger,salt,chillies & grind to paste in a food Processor/blender.
Grind till peas are mashed , adding as little water as possible.
Heat Oil for deep frying. Mix  Onions & Cilantro to the paste.
Take a small ball of paste in hand & flatten a little to a small Pattie/circle shape.
Deep fry in oil by turning once till browned in both the size.
Drain on paper towels & Serve hot as a snack with Tomato Ketchup.

PS : Grind the paste ahead & refrigerate till needed. Mix Onions & Cilantro
just before frying. This is a good anytime/part snack.
