Ingredients
Black Eye Peas/Chavli 1 cup or 1 can Grated Coconut 2 tsp Coriander Seeds 3 tsp Red Chillis 5 nos Gram dal 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp hing 1/2 tsp Methi Seeds a pinch salt to taste Onions 1 NO chopped Tomatoes 2 Nos chopped Ginger 1'inch piece Garlic 1 No minced. Curry leaves few Method: Wash & soak the Chavli the previous night or for 6 hrs if using fresh in sufficient water. Heat a little oil & add hing,gram dal,coriander,cumin,methi seeds,red chillies& 1 onion. Fry well & grind to a fine paste along with the coconut. Heat oil in the pan & season with mustard & curry leaves. Add the onions,tomatoes & fry well. Add the paste cook for a couple of minutes. Finally add the Peas & water & cook till it reaches the boiling point. Garnish with Coriander & Serve hot with Rotis or Plain rice.
