Basmati Rice 1 cup Cumin seeds 2 tbsp Ginger 1'inch piece chopped finely Green serrano pepper 2 nos minced Salt Acc to taste Bay leaf 2 Nos Butter/Ghee/margarine 2 tbsp water 2 cups Garnish: Onions chopped lengthwise 1 NO Cashew 1/4 cup Cilantro Chopped 2 Tsp. Method: In a rice cooker or in a pan heat butter. Fry ginger,seranoes,bayleaf & cumin briefly. Add rice & fry till all the rice is quoted. Add salt, water & cover the lid. In a seperate pan fry the cashew pieces in oil/butter & keep aside. in the same pan fry the onions till it turns translucent & brown. Garnish the rice with cashews,onions & Cilantro.
