Tomato Moor Kozhumbhu


Large Tomatoes   2 Nos Cut lengthwise
Buttermilk/Curd  1 Cup
salt             Acc to taste
Hing             1 Tsp.
Oil              1 Tsp.
Mustard seeds    for seasoning.
Curry Leaves     for seasoning.  

Soak for half an hour &  grind to Paste 

Toor dal           1 Tsp.
Coconut(optional)  1 Tsp.
Dhania seeds       1 Tsp.
Red Chilies        3 Nos or Acc to taste. 
Raw Rice           1 Tsp.
Ginger             1' inch piece. 


Heat Oil in a Pan & do the seasoning .
Add Tomatoes,salt,hing & cook till juice wilts from tomatoes.
Mix together paste & buttremilk/curd & add to the pan.
Cook for a couple of minutes ,& adjust the seasoning .
Serve hot with Rice .

PS : Tomato is used here for color & any vegetables of your choice can be substituted.
This may not be the traditional method of making , but the color sure adds a different twist.
